Arkindex export
You should have an admin account on the Teklia Spider and a account on the main Arkindex instance.
Create a project in arkindex
-
Go to Arkindex. You should create a project using a simple name, with the
Spider
prefix and a project identifier (e.g.Spider | FRAD001
). Mention in the description the Spider project, date and number of images, and add the proper group as a contributor (e.g. Spider group) in project’s settings. -
Copy the ID of the project you just created and paste it in the
Arkindex corpus id
field in the admin view of the project (https://spider.teklia.com/admin/).
If you are missing credentials, please ask an administrator to provide them.
Run the export
You should have a project in the Spider with validated images to run the export.
-
On the main page of the Spider project, click on the Export to Arkindex button.
-
For a moment, the export section may be blank or missing information. Please refresh the page (F5) to actualize progress.
-
If the export progress is stuck for hours, the export task is probably dead. Do not hesitate clicking again on Export to Arkindex button. Do not hesitate to try this, it will complain anyway if an export task already exist.
Potential errors
The export button can be disabled for a project. By putting your mouse over it, you can have an error message:
-
That project is not linked to Arkindex yet. Please ask an instance administrator
: this means theArkindex corpus id
field is empty. Refer yourself to step 2 of Steps for Arkindex export to see how to fix this error. -
No image has been validated on this project yet
: this means that the project has no validated images, because either no campaign has been created, or there are only erroneous images. Please refer to the Ingest Data section to see how to fix this error.
If you clicked on the Export button, this can happen:
-
An export task is already running for this project
: this means that you have probably already clicked on the button, and an active task is the export of the project you are on. -
A task is scheduled, but hasn’t started yet.
: this means that some other tasks are scheduled. You should retry to export later on. -
Your project is being exported to Arkindex
: this means the task has been received and no error has been found. You can check the progression of the process on the associated Arkindex corpus.
Either case you can see all the tasks on https://socface.teklia.com/workers/.
The export is run in a background task, processing approximately 10000 images/hour (depending on the load). Only one export process task can be run at a time.
